Hal’Kil — a god who grew envious of the Top’Peng Tribe’s dependence on the Masks and their refusal to worship him

Ton’A was born into the Top’Peng Tribe, a people blessed with the power of ancient beings. These beings lend their strength through sacred artifacts known as Masks, which are worn by chosen warriors.

As the eldest child, Ton’A was destined to inherit leadership of the tribe.

On the day of the Ceremony of Bestowment, disaster struck.

Without warning, Hal’Kil appeared before the tribe and seized all of the ancestral Masks of the Top’Peng. Enraged by this sacrilege, Ton’A’s father commanded his son to reclaim the stolen Masks and restore the tribe’s legacy.

Hal’Kil, seeking to force the Top’Peng Tribe into worship and submission, scattered the Masks across cursed lands, hiding them where few would dare to tread.

Before Ton’A departed, the village shaman delivered a grave warning:
Hal’Kil had not only hidden the Masks within these cursed places, but had also awakened the entities that dwelled there, commanding them to prevent Ton’A from ever reaching his goal.

Transition to Level 1

The Crypt — Burial Tunnels

The nearest cursed land lies beneath an ancient burial ground — a vast graveyard where warriors of a long-fallen kingdom were laid to rest.

From the entrance of the underground tunnels, a dark, oppressive aura seeps outward, as if the land itself is warning all who approach.

Ton’A steps forward.

The first Mask awaits.
